As a Purex Insider, I get to try out their new products. I've used Purex UltraPacks in the past, but now they have the stain fighting power of Oxi! Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi formula is a powerful stainfighter. The DirtLift Action formula has twice the cleaning power, leaving you with clean, bright laundry!
I like how easy the Ultrapacks are to use=enough detergent for one load, just toss it in your washer and go! No lifting heavy bottles or measuring out detergent. This detergent has a nice, clean smell as well. I especially appreciate that these ultrapacks are more affordable than the leading brand! Here is my cute spokesmodel Daniel, showing off new Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi:
With Football season in full swing, Purex has a new sweepstakes, Find the Red Jersey and Win! Find the red football jersey hidden somewhere on Purex.com and WIN $50! There are 10 Winners! Hint: Just toss and go! Good luck!

Hannah is a widowed Amish mother. Her brother-n-law Joshua helps her run the horse farm her husband started, and he also secretly loves Hannah. Hannah would love to be married again, yet hasn't found the right Amish man. She works at the Lancaster Grand Hotel, and meets an English man, Trey. Trey is a widower, and the two have an instant connection. As their friendship builds, Hannah finds herself at the scrutiny of her family and community, yet she longs to follow her heart.
Amy Clipston is one of my favorite Amish authors. Her latest book is A Hopeful Heart, book one in the Hearts of the Lancaster Grand Hotel series. Once again, Amy Clipston has written a wonderful story that pulled me in and kept me on the edge of my seat. She has such a talent at keeping readers engaged in the story, and I love her characters. I definitely recommend this book, and can't wait for the next book in the series!

Stillwell is Michael Phillip Cash's newest book. Paul is a recent widower with children to raise. While for most people, just dealing with everyday life while grieving seems impossible. Add in being tormented by a demon who is holding his wife's spirit hostage, and Paul is barely hanging on.
As a Real Estate agent trying to sell Stillwell Manor, an old mansion, he realizes the mansion is involved in what is happening to him. He has to figure out the connection and how to release his wife so that everyone can try to move on and live their lives.
Although not the type of book I am usually drawn to, I did enjoy the story of Stillwell. Michael Philliip Cash is talented at telling a story and keeping the reader engaged throughout the book. This is the second book I have read by the author, and I've enjoyed them both.
If you are interested in purchasing Stillwell, here is the link to the book on Amazon.
*Disclaimer: I was given a free copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

Eventide, by Shelley Shepard Gray, is the third book in The Days of Redemption series. I read the first two books and thought they were great, so I was excited to read Eventide.
Elsie Keim is a young adult Amish woman who lives with her large extended family. She has an eye disease that is slowly causing her to become blind, and because of this her family is very overprotective. Elsie's siblings have found love, and she wants the same but doesn't think any man would want her. She wants to be independent and for her family to stop coddling her.
A new young man lives in next door, handsome Landon Troyer. There is a spark between Elsie and Landon, and Elsie decides to keep her condition a secret. Will the truth come out, and will Landon still want a relationship with her? Will Elsie's family give her the space she wants?
Eventide was another wonderful story in the series. Shelley Shepard Gray is so talented at making you feel like you personally know the characters and feel for them. I didn't want the book to end! Also included in the book is a 'P.S.' section with 'About the Author', 'About the Book', and a sneak peek at Ms. Gray's next book!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Nancy Mehl lives in Wichita, Kansas with her husband Norman and their dog, Watson. She’s authored thirteen books and is currently at work on her newest series for Bethany House Publishing.
All of Nancy’s novels have an added touch – something for your spirit as well as your soul. “I welcome the opportunity to share my faith through my writing,” Nancy says. “It’s a part of me and of everything I think or do. God is number one in my life. I wouldn’t be writing at all if I didn’t believe that this is what He’s called me to do. I hope everyone who reads my books will walk away with the most important message I can give them: God is good, and He loves you more than you can imagine. He has a good plan especially for your life, and there is nothing you can’t overcome with His help.”
She and her husband attend Believer’s Tabernacle in Wichita.
ABOUT THE BOOK
If you would like to read the first chapter of Unforeseeable, go HERE.
What I Thought: Unforeseeable is the third book in the Road to Kingdom series by Nancy Mehl. I've really enjoyed this series, and passed the first two books on to my Mom to read. She loved them too! So we have both been anticipating book number three! It did not disappoint-another fascinating story of mystery that we couldn't put down. Nancy Mehl is a talented story teller, and knows how to keep her audience on the edge of their seats. With having read a lot of Amish fiction, I enjoy reading about the differences in the Mennonites. I definitely recommend Unforeseeable and The Road to Kingdom series!

And Grandfather sells their precious home.
In the first book of A Quilting Story series, the four cousins-with social graces, charm, and a love for quilting-will face the anguish of life on the frontier in 1856 with every turn along the wagon trail. Raging storms and adversities hit the small band of travelers. Relieved to finally arrive at the abandoned military post at Fort Worth, Texas, they begin the hard work of establishing a new home. When trials follow them, they must decide to become true warriors of their hearts, minds, and souls or fall to the sufferings of prairie life.
Join the four women on a passage of friendship, love, and self-discovery as lives are mended around the quilting frame.
If you would like to read the first chapter of Threads of Change, go HERE.
What I Thought: I really enjoyed Threads of Change. The four cousins are so sweet and brave as they journey west to a new life. Quilts and quilting were a major topic in the story, as all the girls enjoy making quilts. I look forward to reading more about this close, loving family and their adventures when the next book comes out.

I just finished reading a powerful, thought-provoking book-Are You Playing By House Rules? by Darren and Cara Grant. This book was not at all what I expected. It was both educational and entertaining, following a page-turning fictional story interwoven with controversial issues from our society.
Joe is a new Christian, currently separated from his wife. Tragedy strikes, and his world crumbles around him. He is getting attacked from all sides, but a stranger he just met is there for him. Robert comforts him, helps him, and educates him. Some of the issues Robert talks to him about are hard to believe, but within the book is documentation and references for the reader to look up themselves.
I read this book in a few days, stealing a few minutes here and there as I could, because it was so hard to put down. I really felt like I knew the characters personally by the end, and wanted more when it ended! I highly suggest you read Are You Playing By House Rules? Along with entertaining you, it will make you question some things in our society that we have always accepted.
