Try a New Recipe Tuesday~Easy Crescent Taco Bake
This is a yummy, quick recipe that I have taken to potlucks. The crescent roll crust is the best part! I usually double the recipe below and make it in a 9x13 baking dish.
Easy Crescent Taco Bake (6 servings)
One 8oz can refrigerated crescent rolls
1 lb ground beef (I use extra lean)
3/4 cup thick and chunky salsa
2 Tablespoons taco seasoning
1 cup shredded cheese
shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and sour cream for topping
1. Heat oven to 375. Separate dough into 8 triangles in ungreased pie pan or 9 inch square pan. Press dough over bottom and up sides to form crust.
2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef, drain. Stir in salsa and taco seasoning, simmer 5 minutes. Spoon meat mixture over bottom of crust-lined pan, sprinkle with cheese.
3. Bake at 375 for 20 to 25 minutes or until crust is deep golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve topped with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream, if desired.
