Stuck in the Doldrums (ISBN: 978-1479182701) by Carole P. Roman is a delightful children's book featuring Captain No Beard and his crew. This is a cute 36 page book with bright, colorful illustrations throughout. Animal loving kids will enjoy the lion, monkey, parrot, and frog that are part of the crew. The story focuses on teamwork and compromise, important values for children to learn. Chad (10) and I enjoyed reading Stuck in the Doldrums, and I plan to read it to Grandson Daniel as well! When I received the book, two cute little pirate ducks were included (see below)! Daniel loves them, and they are special just for bath at my house.
