Book Review~There Once Was a Man From The USA-50 State Limericks

There Once Was a Man from the USA-50 State Limericks (ISBN 9781478721079) was written by Joshua Kraushar and illustrated by Victoria Rose Weiss. It is a 6 x 9 color paperback published by Outskirts Press, Inc. 

The limericks are in alphabetical order, one for each state.  The same rhyme scheme is throughout the book.  I was hoping this would be a good resource for my son to remember the states, but after previewing the book, I decided it was not for him.  The idea is a good one, its just that most of the limericks have nothing to do with the state, and there are some things I don't think are appropriate for a child.  I'm sure it was not easy for the author to find words to rhyme with all the states, so I applaud him for that, but this book was not a fit for me and my family.
