This recipe was originally called Taco Puffs, but since a few people in my family don't care for taco seasoning, I omit that one ingredient and they become Cheeseburger Puffs.
Cheeseburger/Taco Puffs
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c chopped onion
1 envelope taco seasoning (omit for Cheeseburger Puffs)
2 tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, drain.
Add the taco seasoning (if making taco puff version) and prepare according to package directions.
Cool slightly.
Unroll crescents leaving two crescents together to form a square.
Press seams together and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Spoon 1/4 cup meat mixture onto each crescent, sprinkle with 1/4 cup shredded cheese.
Pull dough around filling and pinch edges to seal tightly.
Bake at 400 degrees for 13 minutes* or until golden brown. Makes 8.
*Mine only take about 8-10 minutes.
