Book Review~When Hope Blossoms by Kim Vogel Sawyer
Book Description: Amy Knackstedt hopes a new start in Weaverly, Kansas, will help heal the pain of losing her husband and provide a better future for her children. But her neighbor, Tim Roper, is not pleased to have a Mennonite family living next to his apple orchard—he left the Mennonite faith years ago and doesn’t want any reminders of his former life. Yet Amy and Tim find their paths colliding far more often than either could have foreseen. Will this tentative relationship blossom into something more?
My Thoughts: I've enjoyed Kim Vogel Sawyer's books in the past, but I think When Hope Blossoms has to be my favorite book authored by her. Reading about the Mennonite community was an interesting change from my usual old-order Amish fiction. Some heavy subjects were dealt with in this book, and it was so full of emotion. The characters were deep and real, and I didn't want the book to end! To learn more about author Kim Vogel Sawyer and her books, go to her website.
Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book from Bethany House in exchange for my honest review.
